The Trostle Farm at Sunrise – Gettysburg Art on Canvas

25.00 $

Description

A photograph taken on a summer morning at sunrise on the Gettysburg Battlefield, looking towards the famous Trostle Barn. The combination of a thick ground fog (this is not uncommon in Gettysburg), and a brilliant and colorful sky, presented a rare opportunity to capture a very nice photograph. This image has been artistically enhanced but it is not substantially different from the original scene. The Trostle Barn was at the heart of the fighting on July 2nd, 1863 and is a famous battlefield landmark because of a hole in the brick that was made by artillery fire.
