Description
The Design:
My photographs provide much of the inspiration for the art that you see on this website. On a sunny day in January of 2015, I visited the Central Cemetery in Vienna, Austria to take photographs. A photograph of one of the memorial statues at the cemetery inspired “Reflection of Grief.” Recreated and reimagined as a digital painting, this art transforms the statue of the woman in the cemetery into a living person experiencing deep grief while standing at the grave of a loved one. An eerie effect has been created in the reflection on the stone. What do you see?
