Description
The Design:
My photographs provide much of the inspiration for the art that you see on this website. On a sunny day in January of 2015, I visited the Central Cemetery in Vienna, Austria to take photographs. A photograph of one of the memorial statues at the cemetery inspired “Victorian Woman in Mourning.” Done digitally in a watercolor style, this art transforms the statue of the woman in the cemetery into a living person, while still retaining the features of a worn and aged memorial. The results are both stunning and sombre.
